Andrew Ness hails from a ‘project management’ background, originally in banking. “My career evolved,” he says. “I was initially hired to paint a house and then hired a painter to do the actual work and so from this humble beginning the journey started.

Later I met John and I haven’t looked back. We have complementary skills and we’re both perfectionists. Every project we take on is unique and they keep growing but we only do custom work, no cookie-cutter stuff.

Michelle Lisa LaMontagne is the principal designer of Mi Lamont. She has worked in the interior design industry for over a decade.

Prior to opening Mi Lamont in 2014, she was a designer for Toronto powerhouses Croma Design Inc. & Yabu Pushelberg. Michelle has designed upscale residences, hotels and restaurants all over the world.

Mi Lamont focuses on designing luxurious and timeless spaces to reflect the personality of each client.

Soon after joining Drawing Room Architect Inc. in Toronto 11 years ago, Bill Mockler purchased a dilapidated century-old semi on the edge of the city’s Rosehill Reservoir and immediately began a full-scale renovation.


“I couldn’t help myself,” says the designer, who specializes in home restoration.

I don’t have a style, I’m like a hairdresser: I’ll give you what you want, but exquisitely detailed and with a few twists and surprises.
